What do “Due Today” and “Due at Pickup” mean?

See which amount is handled online and which amount the rental company expects at pickup.

“Due Today” is the amount shown for the online checkout and can be zero; “Due at Pickup” is the estimated amount the rental company expects to collect. Neither amount should be assumed to include the security deposit unless the price breakdown expressly says so.

Check the rules for your rental company: Each rental company sets its own requirements. Before booking, open Rental Policies for the selected offer. After booking, check the latest voucher. After pickup, follow the signed rental agreement. Some Airport Van Rental screens call the rental company the supplier.

In the current Price Summary, the interface labels appear as Due today and Due at pick up.

Due Today

Use the checkout itemization to see what the Due Today amount covers. Depending on the selected offer, the amount may relate to the booking, rental price, or an optional product identified at checkout.

Check the amount and currency before submitting payment. Do not assume that every booking has a Due Today charge.

Due at Pickup

The current site labels these amounts ‘Due today’ and ‘Due at pick up.’ Your amounts may differ.

Example only. Amounts, currency, taxes, rental company, and payment timing are specific to the offer you selected.

This is the amount shown as payable to the rental company at pickup. It can change if you modify the booking or accept a different vehicle, extra, permission, waiver, or service.

Ask the rental company to explain any difference before signing the rental agreement.

The security deposit is a separate requirement

The rental company may also require an eligible card and a security-deposit authorization or charge. Check the deposit amount and card rules separately; do not add the deposit to the rental price unless the booking documents describe it as a charge.

Which document controls?

Before booking, use the selected offer's Rental Policies and checkout breakdown. After confirmation and before pickup, use the voucher. After pickup, the signed rental-company agreement controls rental company charges and accepted products.

If the Rental Policies are blank, or the checkout and voucher do not agree, contact Airport Van Rental before pickup and keep screenshots of the amounts shown.

Currency and bank charges

The online and rental company amounts may be shown or processed in different currencies. Your bank or card issuer sets any exchange rate or bank fee it applies. Check the currency beside each amount instead of assuming both transactions use the same currency.
