The booked vehicle is unavailable or the rental company offers a different vehicle

Compare the offered vehicle with your booked category and document any material difference before accepting it or leaving.

Check the category wording on your voucher. If it says a named model or similar, the rental company may provide a different make or model that meets the confirmed category; a material downgrade or unsuitable vehicle should be documented before you accept it.

Check the rules for your rental company: Each rental company sets its own requirements. Before booking, open Rental Policies for the selected offer. After booking, check the latest voucher. After pickup, follow the signed rental agreement. Some Airport Van Rental screens call the rental company the supplier.

Compare the vehicle with your booking

Check the features that matter to the confirmed category and your trip:

  • Passenger and seat capacity

  • Luggage capacity

  • Transmission

  • Number of doors

  • Fuel or charging type

  • Drivetrain, when confirmed

  • Accessibility requirement, when confirmed

  • Any feature expressly stated on the voucher

A different logo, color, or model name is not automatically a downgrade. The category and confirmed characteristics matter.

If the offered vehicle is suitable

  1. Ask the rental company to identify its category.

  2. Confirm whether the price or agreement will change.

  3. Read the rental company agreement before signing.

  4. Inspect the vehicle and record its condition.

  5. Keep the final signed agreement.

After you sign and accept the vehicle, the rental company agreement governs the active rental and any accepted local changes.

If the vehicle is a downgrade or does not meet your needs

  1. Explain the specific confirmed feature that is missing.

  2. Ask whether the booked category, another suitable vehicle, or another remedy is available.

  3. Ask the rental company to record in writing that the booked category is unavailable.

  4. Contact Airport Van Rental from the desk before signing for a materially different vehicle or renting elsewhere.

  5. Do not accept an added charge or refund promise unless it is shown in writing.

Airport Van Rental can review the confirmed offer and voucher. The rental company controls the available fleet and the agreement offered at the desk.
