The rental desk rejected my card or documents

Ask for the exact refusal reason, compare it with the confirmed Rental Policies, and contact Airport Van Rental before leaving the desk.

Ask the desk to state the exact card or document requirement that was not met. Compare it with the Rental Policies and voucher for your selected offer, then contact Airport Van Rental while you are still at the desk.

Check the rules for your rental company: Each rental company sets its own requirements. Before booking, open Rental Policies for the selected offer. After booking, check the latest voucher. After pickup, follow the signed rental agreement. Some Airport Van Rental screens call the rental company the supplier.

Ask the rental company to explain the refusal

Example supplier policy showing the Financial Policy heading, accepted cards, authorization amount, cardholder requirement, and non-accepted payment methods.

Example only. Read Financial Policy in the supplier rules attached to your selected offer.

Accepted payment methods, authorization amounts, deposit rules, and cardholder requirements vary by rental company and offer.

The rental company should identify the specific issue. Examples can include:

  • Card type or payment method not accepted under the confirmed rules

  • Card not in the required person's name

  • Insufficient available funds for the disclosed authorization or deposit

  • Expired, damaged, unreadable, temporary, or unsupported document

  • Name or identity mismatch

  • Missing identification or supporting document

  • Driver-age, license, residency, or other eligibility rule stated in the Rental Policies

An example is not proof that it applies to your booking. Use the requirements attached to your selected offer and latest voucher.

Try only an allowed solution

  1. Ask whether the issue can be resolved with another eligible document or payment card.

  2. Confirm that any replacement card meets the rental company's ownership and card-type rules.

  3. Ask Airport Van Rental to correct a booking detail when appropriate.

  4. Do not add an unauthorized driver, misstate information, or sign terms you do not accept.

  5. Read any revised price or rental company agreement before paying or collecting the vehicle.

After you sign and accept the vehicle, the signed rental-company agreement governs the active rental and locally accepted terms.

Contact Airport Van Rental from the desk

Send:

  • Booking and rental company confirmation numbers

  • Rental company and exact location

  • Exact refusal reason

  • Requirement shown in the offer or voucher

  • Desk representative's name, if provided

  • Any written refusal or desk note

Airport Van Rental can compare the pre-pickup disclosure with the rental company's explanation. The rental company decides whether the documents and payment method presented meet its pickup requirements.

Is a failed pickup refundable?

A failed pickup is not automatically refundable or nonrefundable. Airport Van Rental must review the booking-specific terms, rental company record, timing, and evidence.

If the rental company applied a material requirement that was not disclosed, or you believe compliant documents were rejected, written evidence is especially important. Do not promise or accept a refund outcome based only on a verbal statement.

Protect your information

Do not send a full card number, card security code, password, or unmasked identity document through ordinary email or chat. Mask unrelated details before sharing evidence.

Keep this evidence

Save:

  • Selected-offer Rental Policies

  • Latest voucher

  • Written refusal or desk note

  • Photos showing only relevant document details, safely masked

  • Call logs and support messages

  • Receipts and signed agreement for any alternative rental
