Confirm the return process before you arrive
Check the signed rental agreement and contact the rental company. Confirm:
The approved return address and entrance
The parking area or numbered space
The key-drop or other secure handoff method
The fuel or battery requirement
The booked return time
Whether any gate, shuttle, parking, or access steps apply
When the rental company considers the vehicle returned
Do not rely on an after-hours method used at another location. Instructions can differ by branch.
Document the vehicle and location
Take clear, timestamped photos or video without entering an unsafe or restricted area.

Secure the vehicle
Remove your belongings, close the windows, lock the doors, and place the keys only in the rental company’s designated secure return method. Do not leave keys with an unauthorized person or in an unapproved place.
If the approved area is unsafe or inaccessible, move to a safe place and call the rental company before leaving the vehicle elsewhere.
If you will be late
Contact the rental company before the scheduled return time. Dropping off the keys after that time does not automatically prevent a late-return or extra-day amount. Ask the rental company to record any approved change.
After return, request the final invoice or receipt once the rental company has closed the rental agreement.
