What is a no-show, and what happens if I miss pickup?

Your selected offer and voucher define when the rental company may treat a missed pickup as a no-show and what happens next.

A rental company may classify the booking as a no-show when the vehicle is not collected under the pickup conditions stated in the selected offer and voucher. The exact definition and financial outcome are rental company- and rate-specific.

Check the rules for your rental company: Each rental company sets its own requirements. Before booking, open Rental Policies for the selected offer. After booking, check the latest voucher. After pickup, follow the signed rental agreement. Some Airport Van Rental screens call the rental company the supplier.

Situations that may be treated as a no-show

Example supplier policy showing the complete Cancellation section for pay-on-arrival and prepaid reservations.

Example only. Read Cancellation in the supplier rules attached to your selected offer.

Cancellation deadlines, fees, hold times, refund rules, and prepaid terms vary by rental company and offer.

Depending on the confirmed rules, this can include:

  • Not arriving at the booked location and time

  • Arriving after the rental company's accepted pickup window without an approved arrangement

  • The main driver not appearing

  • Not completing pickup because a disclosed document, eligibility, or payment-card requirement was not met

  • Not collecting the vehicle at all

Only the terms attached to your booking can confirm whether a specific event is a no-show. Do not assume that every late or failed pickup receives the same treatment.

What to do if you may miss pickup

  1. Call the rental company before the scheduled pickup time.

  2. Give the booking details and your realistic arrival time.

  3. Ask whether the reservation will remain active and whether any action is required.

  4. Contact Airport Van Rental if the date, time, location, or booking must change.

  5. Save written confirmation of any approved late-arrival arrangement.

If pickup has already been missed

  1. Contact the rental company and ask whether the reservation is still active.

  2. Contact Airport Van Rental with the rental company's response.

  3. Ask whether the original booking can still be used, must be changed, or has been closed.

  4. Review current availability and price before accepting any replacement.

  5. Do not assume a separate rental cancels the original booking.

What can happen to the payment?

The offer and voucher determine whether any amount is refundable, partly refundable, or nonrefundable after a no-show. Airport Van Rental must review the booking terms, timing, rental company record, and evidence before confirming an outcome.

  • Voucher and Rental Policies

  • Proof of arrival time or travel disruption

  • Call logs and messages

  • Names of rental company representatives

  • Written late-arrival approval or refusal
